Matt plays Douglas Reynholm, the head of Reynholm Industries, in the Channel 4 comedy IT Crowd. He is a recurring character in Season 2 and a member of the main cast in Season 3. Richard Ayoade, Noel Fielding and Graham Linehan are also in the show.
